Metalis are currently working with a manufacturing company based in Wakefield who are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Toolmaker to join the team.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, maintain and repair tooling, dies, jigs and fixtures
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Carry out fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance
- Operate workshop machinery including CNC, milling, grinding and drilling equipment
- Ensure tooling meets quality and production requirements
- Support continuous improvement and minimise production downtime
Requirements:
- Previous Toolmaking or Mechanical Assembly experience
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of machining, tooling and manufacturing processes
Hours & Salary:
£16.00ph - £18.00ph (dependent on experience)
Days only, Monday - Friday
