We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. This is a days-based role offering a temporary - permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Working as part of a busy assembly team, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of pre fabricated products, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembling pre fabricated products that align with company engineering standards
  • Maintaining productivity and efficiency while working to daily production targets
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Working from engineering drawings and specifications
  • Identifying and communicating urgently required parts or any issues relating to parts, build quality, or equipment
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and actively follow a 5S working environment
  • Carry out additional assembly or production support tasks as required

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly or fitting
  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
  • A strong work ethic with good attention to detail
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
