Salary: £17.00 - £21.00 per hour + shift premium

Metalis are working with a leading engineering company in Sheffield, who are looking for a CNC (VMC) Machinist to join their team.

Job Duties:

  • Set and operate CNC vertical milling machines
  • Read and work from engineering drawings
  • Work to tight tolerances
  • Modify and optimise existing CNC programmes, tooling offsets and machine parameters
  • Carry out set up's for repeat parts
  • Run multiple machines
  • Maintain a safe and organised working environment by adhering to Health and Safety standards

Job Requirements:

  • Apprentice Trained or relevant Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC)
  • Experience within a steel machining environment
  • Experience with CNC programs (running and modifying)

Salary, Shift & Benefits:

  • £17.00 - £21.00 per hour + shift premium
  • Rotating shifts - Monday to Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm (35 hours) & Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am (35 hours)
  • 25 holidays + 8 bank holidays
  • Company pension scheme
