We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Assembly Fitter to join a well-established engineering company based in Nottingham. This is a days-based role offering a temporary - permanent opportunity for the right candidate.
The Role
- Working as part of a busy assembly team, you will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of pre fabricated products, ensuring work is completed to a high standard, on time, and in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembling pre fabricated products that align with company engineering standards
- Maintaining productivity and efficiency while working to daily production targets
- Using hand and power tools
- Working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Identifying and communicating urgently required parts or any issues relating to parts, build quality, or equipment
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and actively follow a 5S working environment
- Carry out additional assembly or production support tasks as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in mechanical assembly or fitting
- Ability to read and follow engineering drawings
- A strong work ethic with good attention to detail
- Team player with a proactive and flexible approach
