Metalis are currently working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing business and are looking to recruit an experienced Press Brake Setter/Operator on a permanent basis due to continued growth and increased workload. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive manufacturing team, offering long-term stability, onsite parking, and the chance to work within a growing business.
Job Duties:
- Setting and operating press brake machinery to bend and form sheet metal to specification
- Working from engineering drawings to produce accurate components
- Fabricating sheet metal parts using hand tools and various tooling
- Welding and grinding components where required
- Performing measurements and calculations to ensure accuracy of bends and angles
- Assembling fabricated parts into finished products
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience setting and operating press brake machinery - essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication
- Welding and grinding experience beneficial
- Good mathematical ability for measurements and calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Shifts & Salary:
- Morning Shift - 6:00am to 2:30pm
- Full-time, permanent position £14.00 - £19.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
