Metalis are currently working with a well established business in Sheffield, who are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join their team.
Job Duties:
- Maintenance and installation of all mechanical plant and machinery on site
- Assemble and install machinery according to specification and ensure all components function correctly
- Diagnose and repair machinery and mechanical systems
- Follow the company PPM schedule to ensure machinery is checked regularly
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to understand assembly requirements
- Able to work alone without supervision or as part of a team
- Generate suitable job specific risk assessments and method statements prior to commencing work
Job Requirements:
- Mechanical Engineering qualification (C&G, NVQ, HNC)
- Experience of Fitting, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Fabrication & Welding and some electrical knowledge would be an advantage
- IOSH Working Safely (desired)
- IPAF (desired)
- Confined space - high risk (desired)
- Abrasive wheels (desired)
- FLT License (desired)
Salary & Shift:
£36,465 per annum
Week 1 - Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm (£17 per hour)
Week 2 - Monday to Friday, 2pm - 10pm (£17 per hour + 20% uplift)
Rotating shifts each week
