Metalis are currently working with a well-established and growing manufacturer, who are looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Engineer to join their team. They are currently going through a great period of growth and are looking to strengthen their machining department.
Job Duties:
- Set up and operate sliding head CNC lathes
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code or CAM-based)
- Select appropriate tooling and inserts based on material and design requirements
- Carry out in-process and final inspection using measuring equipment
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Work to tight tolerances
Job Requirements:
- Experience using Sliding Head machines
- Able to set, operate and program
- Able to read engineering drawings
- Experience working with metals and plastics
Salary & Shift:
£35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Days - Monday to Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm & Friday, 7am - 2:30pm
Afternoons - Monday to Thursday, 3pm - 11pm & Friday, 2:30pm - 10pm
Overtime (when available)
