Metalis are working with a leading engineering company in Sheffield, who are looking for a CNC (VMC) Machinist to join their team.
Job Duties:
- Set and operate CNC vertical milling machines
- Read and work from engineering drawings
- Work to tight tolerances
- Modify and optimise existing CNC programmes, tooling offsets and machine parameters
- Carry out set up's for repeat parts
- Run multiple machines
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment by adhering to Health and Safety standards
Job Requirements:
- Apprentice Trained or relevant Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC)
- Experience within a steel machining environment
- Experience with CNC programs (running and modifying)
Salary, Shift & Benefits:
- £17.00 - £21.00 per hour + plus shift premium
- Rotating shifts - Monday to Thursday, 6am - 3:30pm (35 hours) & Monday to Thursday, 6pm - 6am (35 hours)
- 25 holidays + 8 bank holidays
