Metalis are currently working in partnership with a leading manufacturing company that design and manufacture electrical distribution systems. Due to continued growth and expansion, they are looking for an experienced TruTops Programmer to join their busy Fabrications Department on a temporary to permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for the offline programming of Trumpf CNC Punch & Laser machines, working closely with Contracts Engineers, Applications Engineers and the Works Supervisor.
Job Duties:
- Create and run offline programming for punch and laser machines using TruTops software
- Read and work from detailed engineering design drawings
- Work closely with Contracts Engineers, Applications Engineers and Works Supervisors to ensure efficient machine operation
- Support the effective running of CNC punch and laser machinery
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and support 5S initiatives
- Promote continuous improvement across the department
- Attend meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with business management systems and company procedures
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar CNC programming role
- Strong experience with TruTops, TruPunch and/or TruBend software
- Previous experience programming Trumpf CNC Punch & Laser machines
