Pattern: 2 Days / 2 Nights (Monday-Thursday) Temporary Ongoing with a view to go permanent Metalis Engineering are currently working alongside a manufacturer in Sheffield who due to high demand are now looking for a Assembly Operative to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established industrial business offering a stable shift pattern, competitive rates of pay, and regular overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Operate workshop machinery, including lathes and saws, ensuring safe and efficient production at all times.
Use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble, adjust, and reset guiding equipment in line with operational requirements.
Safely handle, move, and transport materials, components, and equipment throughout the manufacturing process.
Carry out routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, inspections, and basic preventative maintenance tasks.
Diagnose and resolve minor equipment or process issues, helping to minimise downtime and maintain productivity.
Use measuring instruments such as verniers and micrometres to verify product quality, while adhering to all health, safety, and PPE requirements.
