We are seeking a skilled and reliable Gas Engineer / Plumber to work in the SS/CM postcodes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas, heating, and plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties. Must be gas safe registered and hold a full UK driver's licence.
Salary & Benefits
- Competitive salary starting at £45,000 with OTE in excess of £50,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Full time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates
- Company vehicle and fuel card (subject to role)

Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer appointments punctually with a professional appearance and attitude
- Provide a friendly, helpful, and customer-focused service
- Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of gas, heating, and plumbing systems
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Carry out reactive plumbing works and emergency call-outs
- Identify and upsell additional works where appropriate during call-outs
- Order and use correct materials for each job
- Maintain accurate job records and job notes
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively
- Install and modify gas pipework in line with Gas Safe and current regulations
- Participate in the on-call rota (approximately one week per month)
- Work overtime when required to meet business demands
- Drive company or personal vehicle to various job locations
- Carry out moderate to heavy lifting as required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer / Plumber
- Strong knowledge of gas, heating, and plumbing systems
- Experience working in a reactive maintenance environment
- Excellent fault-finding and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Ability to carry out basic mathematical calculations for measurements and fittings
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
