An established contractor operating within the demolition sector is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee projects from initial planning through to final completion. This role requires a confident industry professional capable of managing multiple live sites, coordinating operational teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within agreed budgets.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Experience working within the demolition field
- Previous experience in a Contracts Manager role
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, health & safety legislation, and asbestos-related compliance
- Experience coordinating site managers, operatives, subcontractors and plant resources
- Ability to prepare and review demolition Plans of Work, Risk Assessments and COSHH assessments
- Commercial awareness with a working knowledge of construction contracts (JCT experience advantageous)
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients
- CCDO Manager card (or currently working towards certification)
- Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the operational delivery of multiple demolition projects
- Ensure works are carried out in line with programme, budget and safety requirements
- Act as the main point of contact between client, subcontractors and internal departments
- Monitor compliance, statutory notifications and required documentation
- Support commercial functions including change management, valuations and cost control
- Provide leadership and direction to site management teams
