About the Role
The role involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance, and supporting various HR processes throughout the employee lifecycle. It is a broad role, which will be exposed to recruitment, learning and development, payroll, employee relations, health and wellbeing initiatives as well as undertaking some Executive Assistant duties for the Senior Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records across HR systems, ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Administer all stages of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, variations to contract, and leaver processes.
- Support payroll processes by providing accurate monthly employee data (starters, leavers, changes).
- Monitor absence records, holiday entitlements, and probationary periods.
- Maintain HR trackers, reports, and people metrics for internal reporting.
- Act as first point of contact for employee and line manager HR queries, providing timely and practical advice.
- Support line managers with employee relations matters including absence management, performance issues, disciplinaries, and grievances, escalating where appropriate.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and procedures.
- Support informal and formal employee relations casework, including note-taking and outcome documentation.
- Advise on routine employment law matters in line with UK legislation and best practice.
- Support delivery of engagement, wellbeing, and inclusion initiatives.
- Assist with training and development administration, including coordination of learning activities.
- Support recruitment processes including coordination of interviews and candidate communications.
- Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews, system improvements, and organisational change initiatives.
- Champion Metador’s values and promote a positive employee experience.
- Work with SLT to ensure the smooth operation of their itineraries from meeting organisation, off-site arrangements, and travel.
Qualifications
- CIPD Level 3 minimum
- Sound working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
