Metador Ltd is a leading UK manufacturer of steel doorsets, supplying high-quality solutions across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and residential construction projects nationwide. We are looking for an ambitious and driven Business Development Executive to support the growth of our Projects Division. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships, spotting opportunities and winning new business within the construction sector.
Working closely with architects, contractors, developers and consultants, you will play a key role in promoting Metador’s products and securing project sales. You’ll be responsible for developing a strong pipeline of opportunities and converting enquiries into profitable business. Based in Middlesbrough, this role combines remote office working (dependant on location) with regular travel to clients, project sites, project meetings and industry events across the UK. You will join a supportive and ambitious team within a growing manufacturing business where initiative, performance and success are recognised and rewarded.
Responsibilities- Develop new business opportunities within the construction sector.
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, contractors, developers and key decision-makers.
- Promote Metador’s products through client meetings, presentations and industry events.
- Generate and manage a pipeline of project opportunities from initial enquiry to order.
- Develop and maintain key account relationships to support repeat business.
- Identify customer requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Negotiate and secure project sales in line with business targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity reporting.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Previous experience in business development, sales or account management.
- Experience within the construction or manufacturing sector preferred.
- Proven ability to generate leads and win new business.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Effective negotiation and influencing abilities.
- Well organised, self-motivated and target-driven.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
