We’re looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead and manage our IT operations across six European offices (Derry, Leipzig, Marseille, Stockholm, Oslo and Porto) supporting around 270 employees. This is a hands-on role where you’ll combine your strong technical expertise alongside your leadership and people skills to ensure our teams have the tools and support they need to work securely and effectively.
You’ll oversee day-to-day IT operations, manage infrastructure, and lead a small team (including outsourced partners) to deliver a reliable, high-quality IT service. From Microsoft 365 administration and endpoint security to network upgrades and hardware refreshes, you’ll have responsibility for keeping our systems running smoothly and securely. You’ll also play a key role in compliance, supporting ISO 27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials Plus requirements.
This role offers variety and autonomy. You’ll define and deliver a 12-month IT roadmap, manage budgets, and lead projects that make a tangible difference to how our business operates. We value pragmatism and collaboration—someone who can balance quality with timely delivery, remove blockers, and enable teams to work effectively.
If you’re passionate about technology, security, and service delivery, and enjoy working in a role where your decisions have real impact, this is the opportunity for you.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- Managing and leading the IT support team (in-house and outsourced), ensuring high-quality service and timely resolution of tickets.
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical and security issues.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including networks, Audio Visual, servers, end-user devices, and collaboration tools.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, and related systems for user and device management.
- Ensure smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, including account setup and device provisioning.
- Maintain IT asset management across all offices.
- Own the technical implementation and support for all IT assets across the business.
- Implement and monitor endpoint protection, patch management, and backup procedures.
- Advise and implement IT security best practice to protect our business, employees and customers.
- Support security and compliance requirements including ISO 27001, GDPR, and Cyber Essentials.
- Manage the internal technical security controls e.g. Phishing simulations and remediation.
- Define and own the delivery of the 12-month IT roadmap and budget.
- Manage IT projects such as hardware refreshes, office network upgrades, and system rollouts.
- Manage the effective use of tools for communication and information storage.
- Manage vendor relationships, including procurement and license renewals.
- Provide training and guidance to staff, ensuring IT processes are clear and well understood.
- Travel occasionally to European offices to support local IT operations.
What We Are Looking For:
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing IT operations in a multi-site environment (150+ users).
- Strong technical skills in Microsoft 365, Azure AD, networking, and endpoint management.
- Hands-on troubleshooting expertise with Windows and Mac devices, printers, and conferencing systems.
- Experience running or improving IT service desks and ticketing processes.
- Knowledge of IT security practices and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, Cyber Essentials).
- Excellent communication and people management skills.
- Ability to balance hands-on support with team leadership.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ITIL certification (desirable).
- Additional industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco).
