You will be the driving force behind the creation of complex and dynamic music stage environments, translating creative concepts into hundreds of individually controlled elements exposed efficiently to level designers. This role demands a unique combination of technical mastery and artistic vision to deliver polished and immersive VR experiences within strict performance budgets.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with Level Design to design and build performant music pack environments that support expressive light shows.
- Own the production lifecycle of music pack environments from concepts to final marketing cubemaps, coordinating across multiple departments.
- Own and actively improve environment editor tooling and pipeline.
- Troubleshoot technical, visual and performance issues.
- Supervise environment creation done by colleagues and/or vendors and drive knowledge sharing of the best practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years in a Tech Art role in game development and forward rendering pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience with Unity toolset - Animations, Timelines, Particle Systems, Nested Prefabs, Renderers, Material Property Blocks, etc.
- Experience creating technical assets in procedural DCC tools (baking data into textures and mesh properties).
- Keen eye for visual design and composition, coupled with technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using shaders (preferably hand-written) to create unique visuals.
- Experience creating visual effects using a wide range of tools (particle systems, VFX Graph, shaders, flipbooks, meshes).
- Experience developing for virtual reality.
- Proficiency in C# programming.
