The Global Sports Partnerships team works with the world's most exciting sports organisations, leagues, teams, broadcasters, and athletes. We manage relationships across the Meta family of apps including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and WhatsApp, as well as innovations in the VR and AI space with Reality Labs. Sport is a key priority for Meta – our platforms are at the heart of how fans keep up with their favourite sports. The team is seeking an experienced Partner Manager to maintain and develop relationships within the sports industry across Europe, Middle East and Africa. This role involves the management of a number of key sports partners such as rights holders, teams and athletes, supporting their organic growth across Meta apps and driving cross-company strategic initiatives and deals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Meta’s partnership with Sports entities (Leagues, Teams, Athletes), acting as primary point of contact for the business.
  • Onboard a partner set based upon data and Meta’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and land a clear strategy of how to educate the portfolio to drive new product adoption and content output, aligned to Meta service, product and company objectives.
  • Track, analyse and present key metrics and trends according to how they relate to partner relationships and opportunities for audience and revenue growth.
  • Advocate internally for EMEA Sport partners, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Product, Comms, Marketing, Policy, and Sales.
  • Shape the future of products for sports partners with high quality feedback and innovative ideas.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Global Partnerships team to share learnings, resources and strategies in order to drive efficiency and impact.
  • Develop creative solutions that drive relevancy and scale across Meta platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in partner management, content delivery, account management, business development, or sales within media, marketing, sports, or entertainment industries.
  • Experience in the EMEA Sports and Athlete landscape with an existing network of relationships in the industry.
  • Experience establishing long term relationships, ideally within a sporting environment.
  • Extensive project management experience, leading and handling multiple timely cross-functional projects.
  • Proven experience thinking strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
  • Opportunity to work flexibly outside standard business hours when required (e.g. match days, incident response).
  • Advanced communication skills, including fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews).
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
  • Additional languages (especially Brazilian Portuguese / Portuguese).
  • Experience working with, or participating in, high-level or professional individual or Olympic sports.
  • Experience working with athletes, talent management, or sports agencies.
  • Understanding of Meta products and how they apply to the sports and creator ecosystem.
  • Experience in hospitality management or experiential activations.
  • Experience navigating sensitive situations with nuance and discretion.
