As part of the People Risk, Privacy & Compliance team, the Immigration Program Manager (UK) will serve as our most senior in‑house subject matter expert on UK immigration compliance, with broader responsibility for supporting Rest of World (non‑US) immigration workstreams. This is a senior individual contributor role operating with significant autonomy: you will set the direction of the UK immigration program, provide definitive counsel on the most complex and precedent-setting matters, and influence organisational strategy.
Your primary focus is optimising UK immigration processes across insourced and outsourced operations, owning compliance and audit readiness, and staying ahead of regulatory change. You will also act as a senior partner to the wider ROW immigration program, bringing consistency, risk frameworks, and vendor governance to a multi‑country footprint.
- 10+ years of experience in immigration, employment compliance, or people compliance, including in-house program leadership at a large-scale organisation or equivalent law firm/consultancy experience
- Deep, authoritative expertise in UK immigration: Skilled Worker and Global Business Mobility routes, sponsor licence duties and reporting, right to work, record‑keeping, and Home Office compliance visits and audits
- Experience supporting immigration across multiple non‑US jurisdictions, and comfort in operating where guidance is ambiguous or precedent does not yet exist
- Track record of setting strategy and driving large‑scale, cross‑functional programs from conception to implementation
- Demonstrated data analytics expertise, and the ability to set technical direction for peers on complex projects
- Experience using AI tools and technology to streamline compliance workflows, improve efficiency, or enhance decision‑making
- Strong working knowledge of adjacent frameworks - employment law, data privacy (e.g. GDPR), and workforce regulatory requirements
- Experience influencing senior leadership and implementing industry‑standard practices across vendors, able to make complex immigration matters clear and actionable
- Experience making autonomous, high‑judgement decisions, and spotting emerging issues before they escalationExceptional attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data
- Excellent communication skills, handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy. Ability to travel occasionally as needed for cross‑site engagement
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimise/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Bachelor's degree in law, Human Resources, compliance, or a related field
- Depth in one or more additional jurisdictions (e.g. EU member states, APAC) and experience supporting multi‑country mobility populations
- Experience managing outside counsel and outsourced immigration providers at scale
