We are looking for engineers with extensive experience investigating and analyzing online abuse, and actively implementing countermeasures. Our focus on data analysis and machine learning as well as our knowledge of the robust infrastructure of our back-end systems allows us to collaborate seamlessly with engineering, data science, and operations teams to build tools and techniques necessary to enforce content quality at scale. Integrity Scientists have the opportunity to work on many of the most challenging, complicated, and high-visibility integrity risks the company faces. Our work impacts the billions of people who use Meta products. The potential for impact with this work is substantial, as outcomes could affect the billions of people who use our products.
Successful candidates for this team have a track record of identifying issues and proactively implementing solutions and experience identifying patterns in large, unstructured datasets, making quick decisions, and are comfortable iterating based on new data and adjusting approaches when initial hypotheses are disproven. BA/BS in Computer Science, Math/Finance, Physics, Applied Economics, Statistics or other technical fieldExperience investigating and acting on high-impact threats and online threat actorsExperience with relational databases and SQLExperience thinking critically and qualifying assessments with solid communications skillsExperience coding in at least one of the following: PHP, Python, or Java Familiarity with cross-platform integrity threatsProven track record of managing and executing on short term and long term projectsExperience prioritizing and executing with minimal direction or oversightAdvanced degrees in Computer Science, Math/Finance, Physics, Applied Economics, Statistics or other technical fieldExperience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)Experience in adversarial space like fraud and spamExperience working across the broader integrity/security/Trust & Safety communityDemonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologiesDemonstrated understanding of security and integrity risks, and how they apply to Meta and its usersDemonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
