We arelooking for an experiencedPayroll Specialistto manage UKand expatriate payroll activities, ensuring accurate and timely payrollprocessing while maintaining compliance with payroll legislation and companypolicies.
KeyResponsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timelyUK monthly payroll, including statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP), PAYE,National Insurance, student loans, and auto-enrolment pensions, incompliance with HMRC regulations.
- Manage payroll lifecycleactivities including new starters, leavers, salary changes, payrolladjustments, and year-end processes such as P60, P11D and P11D(b).
- Administer UK andexpatriate payrolls (inbound and outbound assignments), includingcoordination and validation of shadow payrolls.
- Partner with GlobalMobility, HR, Finance, and the payroll provider to ensure accurate andcompliant payroll delivery.
- Process expatriate payrollinputs including allowances, benefits, retention bonuses, leave records,pensions, deductions, and final settlements.
- Ensure correct processingof allowances, benefits-in-kind, pensions, salary sacrifice schemes, andtaxable and non-taxable payments.
- Review and validate payrollcalculations, reconciliations, reports, and payroll outputs to ensureaccuracy and compliance.
- Maintain compliance with UKtax, social security, payroll legislation, auto-enrolment requirements,and UK GDPR.
- Prepare payroll reports andsupport internal and external audits through documentation, controls,and query resolution.
- Act as a payroll subjectmatter expert, providing guidance to UK and expatriate employeesregarding payslips, deductions, benefits, and payroll queries.
- Support onboarding andoffboarding activities, maintain accurate payroll and HR records, andassist with payroll system enhancements, testing, and implementations.
- Work closely with HR,Finance, Global Mobility, and international stakeholders to supportpayroll operations across multiple countries.
Requirements
- Provenexperience in UK payroll administration and payroll operations.
- Experiencemanaging expatriate, international, or shadow payrolls.
- Strongunderstanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance,pensions, statutory payments, and year-end reporting.
- Experienceworking with outsourced payroll providers.
- Strongpayroll validation, reconciliation, and analytical skills.
- AdvancedExcel skills and experience with HRIS/payroll systems.
- Excellentattention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strongcommunication and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge & Qualifications
- CIPP would be highly desirable rather than mandatory.
Experience
- Minimum 3years payroll experience preferred
