We are recruiting an experienced Night Loader on a temp-to-perm basis. This role involves moving, loading and handling steel using overhead cranes, with both single and dual hoists.
Pay: £13.91 per hour – 37.5 hours per week. Pay increase once permanent.
Location: Wolverhampton (WV5 0AL).
Shifts: Sunday–Thursday, 10pm–6am.
Shift & Training:
- Nights: 22:00–06:00, Sunday to Thursday
- Induction: First day 09:00–17:00
- Training period: First couple of weeks on days (8am–4pm or 9am–5pm) before transferring to nights
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating overhead cranes (single & dual hoists)
- Picking, moving and loading steel products
- Occasional offloading
- Supporting warehouse operations
- Small percentage of FLT work (bonus if experienced)
- Shunter experience also an advantage
- Heavy lifting and regular stair use
Requirements:
- Overhead crane experience – essential
- Experience working with steel and loading vehicles
- FLT Counterbalance licence (preferred, not essential)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable and able to work night shifts consistently
- Driver will handle strapping — you focus on safe loading
