The predicted salary is between 10 - 15 Β£ per hour.
We are currently recruiting candidates to join our client working as a School Kitchen Assistant. For this role, an Enhanced DBS and Food Hygiene certificates are required. Applicants who do not have the following will not be considered for the role.
Main job responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with preparation of meals and snacks according to menus and recipes
- Serve food to students and staff in a safe, friendly, and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving areas, and dining spaces
- Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
- Help set up and break down serving areas before and after meal service
- Monitor portion sizes and assist with inventory control
- Dispose of waste properly and support recycling procedures
- Support the head cook or kitchen supervisor as needed
- Follow school policies, health regulations, and allergen guidelines
- Maintain a safe working environment for students and staff
Essential requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (IN DATE WITHIN LAST 3 YRS - ESSENTIAL)
- FOOD HYGIENE (LEVEL 1 OR 2)
