Our client is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Executive to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in engineering or manufacturing who enjoys sales, relationship building, and generating new business. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving sales growth while supporting day-to-day commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare customer quotations using technical drawings and measurements, calculating material costs accurately.
- Cold call businesses to generate new leads and develop new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Process sales orders efficiently and accurately.
- Raise and manage invoices in line with company procedures.
- Order raw materials as required to support customer orders.
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Follow up quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
- Provide excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Support general sales administration duties as required.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience within sales, cold calling, and generating new business.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
- Engineering or manufacturing background preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Confident telephone manner with a proactive sales approach.
- Organised with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
- Positive, target-driven attitude with a desire to succeed.
