We are working in partnership with a professional scaffolding company specialising in tailored scaffolding solutions across the UK. Work ranges from small residential renovations to large commercial and industrial construction projects. The Role
We are looking for a friendly, hardworking office-based bookkeeper to join their small/medium office team. This is a part-time permanent role, offering flexibility on how the 20-25 hours are worked across the week. You will play a key role in managing the accounts, with Sage Line 50/200 experience and project implementation on Sage forming a large part of the role.
Key Responsibilities / Duties
- Record sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments in Sage
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger entries
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Process payroll data, record deductions, and support payroll reporting
- Prepare VAT returns, assist with tax filings, and maintain compliance
- Track budgets, project costs, and profitability using Sage project/job costing
- Manage fixed assets, depreciation, and multi-currency transactions
- Generate reports, set up recurring journals, and automate Sage processes
- Support day-to-day office and financial operations, assisting with ad-hoc queries
