About the Role
We're looking for a professional and customer-focused Class 2 Driver to join our Cheltenham Depot. This is far more than just driving. You'll be the face of the business, delivering fresh products to our valued customers while providing exceptional service on every route.
What You'll Be Doing
- Safely deliver customer orders accurately and on time.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Assist with loading your vehicle, ensuring deliveries are secure and correctly loaded.
- Build positive relationships with customers while delivering excellent service.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, health & safety, and legal compliance.
- Keep your vehicle clean and well presented.
- Operate handheld delivery devices to record deliveries and customer information.
- Collect customer payments where required.
- Collect empty trays and returned products for transport back to the depot.
- Support the wider team by covering holiday and sickness when required.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
- Positive, flexible attitude with a team-focused approach.
- Comfortable working early mornings, nights and weekends as part of a rota.
Desirable
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience.
- Experience within the dairy, foodservice or retail distribution sectors.
- Familiarity with handheld delivery technology (training provided).
