Are you detail-oriented, accurate, and looking to build a career in a technical laboratory environment? We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team, working across both chemical analysis and micro-section inspection functions.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Carrying out chemical analysis, including titrations, pH measurements, and the use of Atomic Absorption (AA) equipment.
  • Preparing, inspecting, and reporting on micro-sections using microscopes and specialised inspection techniques.
  • Producing clear, accurate, and professional reports and recorded results to customer standards.
  • Working closely with different departments across the shop floor to support quality and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the role.

Working Hours:

This role involves rotating shifts: Monday – Thursday 6:00am – 1:30pm (Days) 1:30pm – 9:00pm (PM Shift) Friday 6:00am – 12:30pm (Days) 12:30pm – 7:00pm (PM Shift). Additional hours may be required when business needs demand.

Pay rate: £12.84 ph increasing after probation passed.

  • Strong communication skills and can work effectively with colleagues across the business.
  • Eager to learn and develop new technical skills.
  • Can present written records and reports clearly and professionally.
  • Science or maths qualification (beneficial but not essential).
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (beneficial but not essential).
