Are you an experienced IT Support Engineer who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, networking and working across a variety of technical environments?
MET Professional is working with an established and growing retail business to recruit an IT Support & Network Engineer to support its Head Office and nationwide network of stores.
This is a predominantly Head Office-based role offering a great mix of technical support, network connectivity and practical IT installations, with travel to retail locations when required.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring IT systems and connectivity across the business remain reliable and operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing remote and on-site IT support to Head Office and wider business units.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, broadband and network connectivity issues.
- Coordinating broadband installations and resolving faults with providers
- Supporting new store openings, installing and configuring IT and networking equipment.
- Ensuring tills, card payment systems, telephones and broadband connections are fully operational.
- Visiting outlets for equipment upgrades, replacements and technical troubleshooting.
- Maintaining IT equipment inventories and helping improve support processes.
What We're Looking For
- At least three years' experience in IT support, network support or field engineering.
- Good practical understanding of networking, broadband connectivity and IT hardware.
- Confident troubleshooting technical issues remotely and on-site.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, organised and hands-on approach.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
Experience within a multi-site retail environment, particularly supporting EPOS systems or store connectivity, would be advantageous.
