Pension Scheme Monday – Friday 25 days holiday + bank holidays On-Site Parking Benefit package (private healthcare, medical cover, paid voluntary day, cycle to work, staff discount and shopping discount platform) The roles and responsibilities of the Depot Manager: Daily management of core home delivery processes; ensuring all goods-in, goods-out, inventory replenishment and cycle count activity is carried out in a timely and accurate manner. Daily management, coaching, development and motivation of staff, ensuring all relevant HR policies are followed. Supervising of all staff on shift ensuring they are managed in line with company standards To provide effective support to the CHD Transport Manager to ensure constant improvement in all areas of the operation. Route planning and monitoring of routes for required depot to ensure route planning is planned effectively with company costs and KPIs in mind. Payroll processing of depot Company phone holder Recruitment of required roles for depot Maintain active communications across departments and depots to ensure clear transparency. Assisting operations Manager as and when required Ability to assist with other depot operations if required. Ensure all site H&S and MHE checks are completed as required; raising any issues direct to the Transport Manager/Health & Safety Officer as required. Ensuring warehouse housekeeping is kept to a high standard Preparation and participation in CHD team meetings and planning groups as required – travel may be required to other depots Weekly driver meetings for debriefs Daily warehouse team meetings to plan workflow and targets Management and reporting on non-inventory assets (Pump trucks, vehicle kit stock, basic vehicle maintenance items etc) to minimise operational disruption and cost. Ensuring warehouse process systems are being followed and are correctly updated as and when needed Depot KPI management and reporting Flexibility to ensure coaching and training across both warehouse shifts and depots. Ensuring stock management/stock takes are completed and reported daily. Stock discrepancies are to be reported in the correct manner and format Ensuring safe loading and unloading of vehicles whilst monitoring loading operatives. Completing depot PDC’s and return to work interviews for direct reports in full. Assist with disciplinary processes as and when required Completion of gatehouse checks on depot vehicles Requirements of the Depot Manager: Must have a full clean UK driving licence for at least 12 month Strong, advanced knowledge of all Microsoft office packages Proven transport management/ depot manager experience HGV Class 1 or 2 licences would be desirable Previous experience within the furniture sector or home delivery would be beneficial What happens after you apply for this role?
