Our client, a growing establishment within the Kidderminster area are currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join their team on a temp-perm basis. As a Finance Assistant, you will be faced with a range of duties to contribute to the smooth operations within the accounts team.
Main responsibilities (not limited to):
- Responsible for processing invoices (sales and purchase ledger)
- Managing payments and receipts
- Bank reconciliations
- Take control of credit control and regularly monitoring and chasing overdue payments
- Processing expenses claims and support with managing petty cash
- Maintaining financial records and filing systems in line with HMRC
- VAT returns preparation and submission
- Maintain and managing supplier and customer accounts
- Handling financial queries from internal teams and external contacts
- Preparing routine financial reports
- Managing financial documentation and audit trails
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Liaising with banks, suppliers, and customers
- Maintaining accounting software/systems
- Ensuring compliance with financial procedures
- Supporting audits by providing documentation
- Filling statutory returns and documents
- Responding to financial queries
- Working with other departments on budget/finance matters
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout
- Any other duties reasonably requested
- Complete training as required or requested to enhance capabilities
- Maintain the function/responsibilities (where appropriate) of colleagues in their absence
