Night shift – Crematorium Staff Stourbridge Permanent £25,500 – (£28,500 after probation) What’s on offer: Salary of £25,500 and a view to go to £28,500 after probation period Hours: Monday -Friday working 37.5 hours between the periods of 5pm-5am (flexible hours and days) Holiday: 20 days holiday + Bank holidays, increases to 22 days after 2 years of service and increases by 1 day each year after that up to 25days. This role requires heart felt understanding that pets are beloved members of the family and should be handled with the utmost level of dignity and respect. Responsibilities/duties: Carrying out owners’ wishes which will include taking paw prints, fur clippings, cremating toys and treats with pets. Performing the pet’s cremation- placing them into the cremation chamber (correct equipment available ). Sweeping out the cremation chamber after each cremation. Processing the pets’ ashes ready to be returned to their owners. Using software to access each pets’ records before cremation. Preparing them for the owners to spend a little time with them and to say their last goodbye. Assisting with moving pets into ‘kennels of rest’. Person Specifications: Ability to follow strict rules. Must be able to work well with others and co-operate. A good level of fitness and strength is required (Many breeds of pets are very heavy and good physical strength is necessary for handling them in a dignified manner). Strong constitution
