Every project is different: one day you could be planning a complex topographical survey; the next, reviewing a point cloud, resolving a control issue or helping a team deliver information for a major development or infrastructure project. You'll collaborate with land, measured building and utility surveyors, geophysicists and GIS specialists. HOW YOU'LL GROW You'll build practical management experience across six areas: • planning programmes and resources; • coaching surveyors; • strengthening client relationships; • supporting quotations, budgets and project control; • reviewing deliverables; and • improving how we work. This is hands-on experience designed to prepare you for what comes next: structured training, practical management responsibility and professional development support, including CICES membership where appropriate, with the longer-term opportunity to progress into senior management and wider operational leadership. WHAT YOU'LL BRING You'll probably be operating at Senior Surveyor level, or have equivalent experience in a surveying or geospatial business. • Strong experience in topographical and measured building surveying, laser scanning and related geospatial disciplines. • Confident using relevant survey and point-cloud software, including Cyclone, TruView, ReCap, Undet or CloudWorx, CloudCompare, 3DR, Revit and Pix4D. • Strong planning, organisation and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work confidently with clients, colleagues and suppliers. • A practical, solutions-focused approach, with a sound understanding of project costs and commercial priorities. • A sharp eye for quality, strong health and safety awareness, good IT skills and a full UK driving licence. Even better if you've already had experience coaching surveyors, preparing quotations, managing budgets or coordinating field and office teams. WHAT YOU'LL GET £42,000–£50,000 salary depending on experience, plus: • Support for relevant qualifications, paid professional memberships and access, where appropriate, to our CICES Approved Development Scheme, including structured technical and management training. • 25 days annual leave a year increasing to 30 with service, plus 8 Bank Holidays. • Vehicle or company car allowance. • Approved overtime as pay or additional leave. • Cycle to Work scheme. • Employee discounts and rewards.
