Self-Employed Multi-Trade Person / General Builder
Location: Sheffield/Rotherham and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Self-Employed
Salary: £180 - £250 per day based on experience

We are a reputable and established building company specialising in a wide range of property renovations, extentions and construction work. We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service and ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Multi-Trade Person or General Builder to join our team on a self-employed basis. You’ll be working on a variety of projects, including but not limited to:
General Building: Brickwork, plastering, tiling, timber framing, and general construction tasks.
Maintenance & Repairs: Plumbing, electrical (basic), carpentry, and general maintenance.
Renovations: Kitchens, bathrooms, and loft room conversions.
Exterior Works: Landscaping, decking, and roofing.
You will need to bring your skills and expertise to deliver high-quality results, whether working independently or as part of a team. The successful candidate will also be client-facing, requiring excellent communication and a professional approach to every job.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete tasks to a high standard and within agreed timelines.
Provide excellent customer service with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Occasionally manage small teams or subcontractors, depending on project size.
Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as a multi-trade person or general builder (minimum 3 years).
Strong knowledge of building regulations and health & safety practices.
Ability to work across multiple trades such as plumbing, carpentry, brickwork, and tiling.
Full UK driving license and own vehicle/tool kit (required).
Excellent communication skills, both with clients and team members.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
CSCS card and any relevant qualifications are an advantage.
