Position Title: Campus & Building Services Worker - 2nd Shift (Summer) - $10.50/hour

Hours Per Week: 37.5

Duration of Appointment: Summer

Work Schedule: Shift: 4:00pm to 12:30am (37.5 hours week)
Dinner: 1-hour (Free dinner included – per shift).
Days: Assigned to five(5) days a week, assigned Sunday-Saturday. You will be assigned to work every other weekend – Required.

Position Summary: These positions care for and clean the Academic buildings, sporting facilities, cafeterias, and public areas located across Central Campus. They aid in the set up and tear down of all the events that take place in this area while following the lead of their supervisor. Project cleaning and providing support in the laundry room will take place under the discretion of the supervisor.

Major Preferred: None, will train.

Experience Preferred: Any previous employment: cleaning and/or event set up.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must possess full range of physical motion and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time as demanded by cleaning/event set-up tasks.
  • Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals.

Primary Duties:

Examples of some duties that you may have but are not limited to:

  1. Clean and prepare assigned areas using proper chemicals and procedures.
  2. Work with small machinery to complete cleaning tasks.
  3. Maintain equipment and storage areas.
  4. Move furniture as necessary.
  5. Take out trash as needed.
  6. Move and align tables, chairs, build stages, skirt furniture, put up bleachers and anything necessary to complete the set up/tear down of special events.
  7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.

Secondary Duties:

  1. Collect lost and found items.
  2. Assist other Campus & Building areas as needed.
  3. Other duties as assigned.
