The Admissions Traveling Recruiter plays a vital role in expanding Messiah University’s prospective student pool by representing the institution at high schools, college fairs, and other off-campus events. The recruiter will primarily travel from August through October, engaging with students, families, and school counselors to share the Messiah University story. This role is instrumental in shaping the future of Messiah University by building meaningful connections with prospective students and their families. Driving Requirements Valid driver’s license Essential Employee N/A Primary Duties Recruitment & Outreach (Primary Duties) Represent Messiah University at college fairs, high schools, and off-campus events. Engage with prospective students and families, articulating the university’s mission, programs, and opportunities. Plan and coordinate an 8–9 week travel itinerary, contacting high schools and event organizers via phone and email during the first 3–4 weeks. Maintain a consistent presence at scheduled recruitment events, including evening and weekend engagements. Data Management & Reporting Enter and manage prospective student data in the Slate CRM system daily. Document travel activities, event evaluations, and student interactions in Slate. Provide regular reports to the supervisor regarding recruitment efforts and outcomes. Communicate important student-related insights and event details to relevant admissions territory managers. Administrative & Logistical Support Track and allocate travel expenses using a university credit card in compliance with university policies. Submit expense reports regularly, ensuring accurate documentation of expenditures. Ensure responsible financial stewardship of university resources while on the road.
