JOB INFORMATION Work Type: Permanent, full time vacancies as they may occurin this geographical location. The Position Facility Supervisors/Managers plan, organize and direct buildings and grounds maintenance, repair, custodial work, security functions, and fleet maintenance and supervise skilled and semi-skilled staff. Incumbents function as first-line supervisors who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; assign and review work; and initiate disciplinary action. The Facility Supervisor 2 will work under the direct supervision of the Facility Supervisor 3. They will be responsible for project supervision 24 hours a day; comply with uniform building codes, OSHA safety standards material standards. The incumbent will plan and direct work assignments in order of necessity; schedule work orders for maintenance workers; train employees on a daily basis; inspect work for compliance; write evaluation reports on maintenance staff; responsible for the approval of materials needed for repairs, buildings and grounds; manage maintenance budget; submit store requisitions; provide records on repairs/maintenance.***THIS RECRUITMENT MAY CLOSE WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS RECEIVED. APPLICANTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE*** In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements: Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of building and facilities maintenance or construction experience which must have included project planning, preparation of job/project cost estimates, scheduling and project management, one year of which was at a supervisory level; OR one year of experience as a Facility Supervisor I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. Special Notes For Facility Manager, Supervisor II, and III, completion of Facility Operator Certification for Utility Systems (FOCUS) or a comparable instructional program in facility maintenance may be substituted for one year of non-supervisory experience. Special Requirements Pursuant to NRS 284.4066, this position has been identified as affecting public safety. Persons offered employment in this position will be required to pay for these items. A valid driver\’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
