ABOUT THE ROLE
This role requires relocation to Sydney, Australia - sponsorship offered for the right candidate! The Social Media Manager at MESHKI is a dynamic and creative role responsible for managing and elevating the social media team as well as MESHKI's presence on socials. This position involves developing and executing innovative content strategies, fostering community engagement and driving brand awareness through the platform. The ideal candidate will have strong team leadership experience, a deep understanding of social media trends, a passion for fashion and digital media and the ability to create compelling content that resonates with MESHKI’s target audience, driving community engagement. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Build and roll out social strategies that grow the MESHKI world - more followers, more engagement, more “where is this from??” comments.
- Curate Instagram and TikTok feeds that feel intentional, on-brand and elevate MESHKI on socials.
- Manage and inspire a high-performing team of creatives, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Strengthen engagement and build authentic connections in the MESHKI online community through strategic community management.
- Keep tabs on what’s trending and more importantly, what’s about to trend, so we can be early, not late.
- Use your creativity to bring MESHKI to life in a way that genuinely connects with people and stops them from scrolling past.
- Plan and produce social content that’s equal parts aesthetic, smart and shareable.
- Manage the content calendar to keep the social team aligned and on track.
- Track the metrics - the fun ones (likes, shares, saves) and the nerdy ones (CTR, revenue, engagement rate).
- Share what’s working and what’s not with the team. No fluff, just facts.
- Collaborate with marketing, creative and product to make sure what we’re posting supports the bigger picture.
- Show off key products in a way that makes people want to click through, add to cart and share organically.
- Sync with digital marketing to align paid and organic efforts, so it all feels seamless and strategic.
- Be creative. Be bold. Don’t post anything you wouldn’t engage with yourself.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING
- At least 5 years experience in end-to-end social media management, within fashion.
- Demonstrated experience leading a social media or content team to deliver high-impact results.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple content calendars, campaigns, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to develop and execute content strategies across multiple platforms – including TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and emerging channels – with a track record of growing brand presence and engagement.
- Deep knowledge of platform algorithms, content trends, and digital best practices, particularly on TikTok and Instagram.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills - able to build strong relationships with influencers, collaborators, and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret social media data and translate insights into strategic actions to drive performance.
- Highly creative with a passion for fashion, culture, and digital storytelling – able to conceptualise and execute scroll-stopping content that aligns with MESHKI’s brand voice.
- An innate understanding of MESHKI’s target demographic and a sharp intuition for what resonates with our audience across platforms.
- Demonstrated success in driving measurable growth in both established and emerging markets through social media.
