About the Role:
A well-established legal company based in Liverpool City Centre is looking for an experienced Multi-Track Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer to join their drafting team.
In this role, you’ll handle a varied and complex caseload involving the preparation of Multi-Track Bills (including Precedent S), Costs Budgets, and supporting documentation such as Precedents R and T. You’ll be confident in costs negotiations, have a solid understanding of the litigation process, and ideally, be experienced attending CCMCs.

Key Responsibilities:

Draft and serve Multi-Track Bills, including Precedent S style Bills

Prepare Costs Budgets (Precedents H), Precedents R and T, and N260 Statements

Attend CCMCs where required
-
Manage costs negotiations and support clients through the costs process

Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external clients

Provide training or support to junior team members (and clients, if required)

Ensure compliance with relevant CPR and litigation procedures

Work efficiently and independently, managing multiple case types

What We’re Looking For:

At least 5 years’ experience in Multi-Track costs drafting

Proven ability to prepare accurate Costs Budgets and forecast future costs

Confident handling Precedents S, R, T and associated documents

Familiarity with attending CCMCs (preferred but not essential)

Proficiency in CostsMaster (or similar software), Excel & Proclaim
-
Experience in internal or external training is a bonus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

High attention to detail and ability to manage a varied caseload independently
