Responsibilities
- Leading or collaborating with the Design Team to ensure assigned tasks are completed on time.
- Applying advanced engineering principles to produce accurate and precise calculations and design deliverables.
- Knowledge of transmission and distribution materials associated with basic, intermediate, and complex project designs.
- Utilizing design software to create designs compliant with all codes and client standards.
- Performs material selection and takeoffs for basic, intermediate, and complex project designs.
- Review and understand project specifications, requirements, and standards.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure design intent is transferred to the design drawings.
- Establish, promote, and assure quality on all projects and work performed.
- Provide quality workmanship for all projects and work performed.
- Promote and support a safety culture within group and demonstrates safe work practices.
- May provide technical oversight on basic and intermediate project tasks.
- Mentors and coaches Engineers and Engineering Associates as needed.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve technical problems related to transmission and distribution.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations needed to support basic, intermediate, and complex designs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in engineering and design work.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Great interpersonal skills and aptitude for developing a working relationship with the entire design team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with others.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to develop, promote, and comply with Mesa Safety requirements.
- Ability to identify quality issues and comply with Mesa’s quality requirements.
- Ability to coach and mentor Engineers and Engineering Associates
