Due to continued growth, we are now looking for the best experienced engineers in the Midlands to support our commercial and education customer base. You will be responsible for carrying out all your duties in accordance with industry standards and delivering on our core values to ensure we maintain our great customer relationships and our solid local reputation.
The successful applicant will join our fantastic service team and will undertake the routine and corrective maintenance of Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control and Fire Alarm systems, whilst also being part of the emergency call out rota. The Role: To maintain a great relationship with our existing commercial/education customer base when visiting to rectify faults, carry out routine maintenance and extra works.
Responsibilities:
- Working to deliver on our core values - Reputation, Excellence, Integrity, Service, Teamwork and Trust
- Routine maintenance visits and servicing of predominantly intruder alarms and CCTV systems for mostly commercial/public sector customers
- Occasionally servicing fire alarms, aspiration, emergency lights and access control systems (15% of workload but growing)
- Corrective maintenance and fault finding for predominately intruder alarm and CCTV systems but also on access control, fire alarms and aspiration systems
- Small works installing extra equipment onto existing systems plus upgrading existing panels and recorders
- Mostly working alone as part of a larger service team liaising with other engineers, the Technical Support Manager and the Service Manager
Essential experience, qualifications skills:
- A minimum of 5 years time served experience but preferably more, working to industry standards within the security systems industry
- Main strength and experience on intruder alarms and CCTV
- Experience with access control, gate barriers, fire alarms would be beneficial so we can build on this
- You will be able to complete BS7858 security screening, with an enhanced DBS check and have a full UK drivers licence (with a maximum of 3 points)
- You need to be polite and courteous and have great communication skills - both written and verbal
- You need to be able to use your judgement and make decisions
- You ideally live within 25 miles of CV11 6GX
- Experience with the following intruder equipment: Gardtec, Honeywell Galaxy, Risco LightSYS, Risco Visonic wireless systems
- Dualcom signalling
- Experience with Concept Pro Hikvision CCTV equipment (both analogue and IP)
- Additional experience in Access Control/Door Entry/Fire Alarms/Aspiration Emergency Lighting
