We are looking for a highly motivated, confident, and naturally inquisitive Key Account Manager for our Midlands Region. Ideally you will have a track record of managing and growing accounts in the Neurology space within the pharmaceutical industry. You are able to demonstrate collaborative working with wider Sales, Marketing, and Medical teams. The successful candidate will utilise established key account management techniques to cultivate customer relationships, maintain and grow existing business as well as developing new business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own, drive and grow accounts and users in collaboration with other key functions such as Medical, Marketing and the wider sales team.
  • Develop open and effective channels of communication with clients.
  • Become the reliable point of contact for customers to build strong business relationships.
  • Listen to and understand client needs, addressing client concerns and dealing with objections.
  • Continually develop own knowledge and skills with Merz Pharma products, as well as maintaining knowledgeable understanding of developments affecting the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry.
  • Maintain excellent verbal and formal communication skills, critical reasoning skills and the ability to sell & negotiate effectively. Be customer-orientated.
  • Work within the ABPI guidelines at all times.

Your Key Strengths Include:

  • Demonstrable track record of sales success within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Highly approachable manner with the ability to build rapport and relationships with clients quickly and act as the face of the company.
  • A high level of drive and resilience, with an ambitious, results-driven, and self-motivated personality.
  • Excellent business planning and organisational skills, proactive nature.
  • Great listening skills, inquisitive with a desire to learn.
  • Product and data enthusiast, aptitude for understanding data-based solutions.
  • Desire to meet and exceed sales targets in a very competitive environment.

Your Profile:

  • Degree or equivalent, ideally in Life Sciences or similar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of B2B experience in client relationship management.
  • Experience within the Neurology and experience of working on patient pathways would be advantageous.
  • Experience in developing credibility with customers and demonstrable track record of building strong strategic and trusted relationships with client stakeholders through professionalism and knowledge of products.
  • ABPI Code of Practice knowledge and exam.
  • Good IT skills are essential.
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK and internationally.
