The site in Ipswich focuses on design, manufacturing, building, and testing a number of different products.

As our golf greenkeeper at Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd in Ipswich, you will be responsible for the maintenance, care, and overall appearance of the RJ National, our very own three-hole golf course, as well as our 5-a-side football pitch. Learning how to operate a range of equipment and machinery safely and competently, you will ensure a good quality playing surface is maintained.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the playing surfaces to a high professional standard of play and presentation
• Maintaining the rough and bio-diversity areas to an environmental standard
• Managing the irrigation system effectively and recording all water usage
• Adapting the programs to suit local weather conditions and rainfall
• Operating the course machinery to the standards set out in the operators instruction book and performing basic maintenance on the same machinery
• Pruning trees, trimming hedges and cutting back shrubs as required
• Assisting in the set-up of customer visits, demonstrations and product training as required
• General site maintenance, including planting beds and general duties associated with the site
• With assistance, planning and applying a fertiliser schedule for the turf areas
• Helping with the planning and expansion of the mower testing areas

Working pattern dependent on age:

1. For 16-18 years: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am-3:30pm (30 min lunch unpaid), Friday: 7:30am-3:00pm (30 min lunch unpaid)
2. For 18 years and above: The work pattern will be a 9 day fortnight with every other Friday off
