Mervyn Stewart is an independent group within the motor industry, our team continues to grow and flourish and we have an opportunity for an experienced Car Valetor to join the team in Belfast.

You will be responsible for the preparation of vehicles to a high standard both inside and out and therefore be fully skilled in all aspects of vehicle washing and preparation to a showroom standard. You will also be required to move vehicles in a careful and efficient manner; therefore, a full valid driving licence is required.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working individual with meticulous attention to detail who wants to work and feel valued as part of a team. We want you if you have the passion and skill to make our vehicles look their very best. In every aspect of our retailing, the aim is always to exceed customer expectation and so customer care is of paramount importance. Within this role, you will be helping lead from the front to ensure that our customers receive the best possible After Sales experience.

Communication is key within our dealership, not only to ensure a 5-star customer experience but to build solid working relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.

About The Role

  • Providing a high level of service to our Sales and Service Department
  • Preparing vehicles to an excellent standard
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Cleaning vehicles externally with a high-powered pressure washer
  • Working with a polishing/buffing machine to enhance bodywork
  • Demonstrating an understanding of safety procedures and manufacturers' instructions/warnings for different cleaning chemicals
  • Working as a team member
  • Good oral communication & time management
  • The ability to take direction
  • Other duties as required within the department
