An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Merton's Public Realm directorate as the Waste Contract Monitoring Officer. The role will support the management of Merton's Recycling and Waste Collections Contract with an annual value of £8.5m.
As the Waste Monitoring Officer you will undertake quality assurance inspections and work as part of the Contract Management Team to ensure a high standard of performance is delivered. The successful candidate will possess effective communication skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You will be experienced in working with contractors and will be expected to attend regular site meetings at varied locations across Merton. You will also be involved in supporting the delivery of key front-line services through a period of transition, whilst we mobilise a new recycling and waste collections contract and bring the street cleansing service in-house.
