We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Domestic Abuse housing Officer to join our team and support survivors in securing safe, sustainable housing solutions.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a knowledgeable housing professional with a strong understanding of statutory homelessness duties and domestic abuse legislation.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide specialist housing advice and support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse
  • Assess homelessness applications inline with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homeless Reduction Act 2017)
  • Apply duties relating to prevention and relief of homelessness
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, refuges and partner agencies
  • Maintain accurate record and ensue compliance and statutory requirements
