We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Network Coordination Officer to join our team. You will lead in the evaluation of Major to Minor works with regards to management, coordination, inspection and enforcement of highway activities on the council’s road network. This will include Road and Street Works, Highway Licensing, Events, Developments, Road Closures and any other activity affecting traffic and Network Accessibility.

Responsible for the assessment of Permit Applications ensuring accuracy and identifying potential breaches of the Acts and London Permit Scheme, you will review and take responsibility for the issuing or rejection of more complex works permit applications. You will apply permit conditions as appropriate, taking into consideration the locality and co-ordination with planned works and events in the area.

You will be solely responsible for carrying out external inspections throughout the borough and would be required to plan your daily programmes and manage an extensive workload with conflicting demands and priorities whilst ensuring that all inspections are carried out in the agreed legislative timescales.
