Overview
Pastoral Tutors will enhance the learner experience by tracking and monitoring the progress of Further Education learners. The role includes 1:1 meetings, delivering group tutorials, liaising with staff and parents/guardians, and supporting safeguarding caseloads.
Responsibilities
- Conduct 1:1 meetings to monitor learner progress
- Deliver College group tutorial programmes
- Liaise with staff, parents/guardians, and other stakeholders regarding learner progress
- Signpost learners to wider support services as needed
- Support the College Safeguarding team and manage a caseload of students
Qualifications
- Experience delivering student workshops or tutorials to diverse learners
- Experience supporting student progress on a 1:1 basis
- Experience in youth and community work with a clear understanding of student needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Level 3 qualification in Youth & Community, Education, Psychology, Sociology or Health & Social Care is advantageous (not essential)
- Experience in careers advice and guidance is desirable
Employment Details
Salary is subject to the annual cost of living review that will be implemented in the new academic year.
