Merton College is expanding its Part‑Time Sessional Teacher Panel and seeks skilled and experienced Art professionals to deliver high‑quality learning opportunities for adult learners. The role is funded for the 2026/27 academic year. The successful candidate will not commence before August 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teach adult learners across a range of levels on non‑accredited courses, supporting participants to develop their skills, creativity and confidence in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Plan lessons and utilise a range of techniques appropriate to learners from diverse educational backgrounds, including adult learners.
- Deliver virtual sessions when required.
- Identify and implement improvements in existing teaching systems.
Qualifications
- Successful teaching experience and/or a teaching qualification or substantial relevant professional experience.
- Sound knowledge of the subject.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage learners at all levels.
