Merton College is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual, with excellent organisation skills to contribute to the smooth functioning of the College's academic administration.
The Role
Working closely with the Senior Tutor, Academic Registrar and colleagues across the College, you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of academic administration and student services. The role is varied and includes:
- Responding to enquiries
- Coordinating academic processes
- Maintaining student records and databases
- Supporting admissions activity
- Helping to ensure the smooth running of the Academic Office throughout the year
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, managing a range of responsibilities, and providing a high standard of service to students, academic staff and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be:
- Highly organised, accurate and able to manage competing priorities
- An excellent communicator, both in writing and in person
- Confident dealing with a wide range of people in a professional and helpful manner
- Able to work with discretion and attention to detail
- Comfortable learning new systems and processes
- Able to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
Previous experience in higher education would be an advantage but is not essential.
