You will be naturally personable and able to demonstrate experience of working in a public-facing role that has involved providing great customer service. The Lodge is very much the gateway to the College, and on a daily basis, our team of Porters welcome and assist a significant number of Fellows, students, staff and visitors from all over the world. The role is a very busy and public-facing one in which the Porters are required to provide the highest possible standards of service at all times. Salary : £28,369 rising to £28,652 after probation (inclusive of annual allowance of £2,100) Shift pattern : Nightshift 18:30 hours to 06:30 hours, 3 days on and 3 days off, average 42 hours per week, inclusive of some weekends and bank holidays Excellent benefits include : the equivalent of 7.6 weeks holiday, membership of the University of Oxford Staff Pension Scheme (OSPS), uniform, use of the fitness room and meal allowance when on duty at either Lodge, travel pass loan, cycle to work scheme, private medical insurance and free car parking.
