Salary: Grade 5 SCP 18-22 = £31,537 - £33,699 per annum pro rata; 35 Hours = 94.59% = £29,830 - £31,875 per annum.
To be responsible as a lead member of the staff team, and senior practitioner, for the direct day-to-day care of children and young people and other supportive tasks and duties. The Senior Residential Child Care Practitioner will support the Manager in contributing to planning, and ensuring the safe delivery of evidence‑based interventions, which will involve working directly with children and their families, to secure a swift return home, or move to a longer‑term placement. In addition they will coordinate and provide a service which supports children and their families, and foster placements, where there is a risk of disruption or breakdown.

- Evening and weekend work, and sleep-in duties as required
The standards that are applied to this post are QCF Diploma Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or the predecessor qualification N.V.Q. Level III Awards in Care.
Ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
